Chanel Joues Contraste in Accent

Thank god for being organised and writing posts last weekend because I haven't felt like blogging at all this week.  It's been a difficult week.  I'm also a bit nervous about putting this post up because I hate photos of myself but wanted to show how the blush looked.

I haven't fallen in love with Chanel's holiday collection this year and didn't really want to pick anything up.  I've read all the reviews of the various products and thought one blush in particular, Accent was pretty but not amazing.

Until I saw it in Sephora.  I went with the intention of swatching the Holiday eyeshadow palette, which I did and passed on it.  I swatched this pretty blush and walked away.  But walking round the store my eyes kept going back to the swatch of Accent on my hand and I had to go pick it up!

It's such a unique shade-a medium rosy brown with a hint of shimmer to it.  More brown toned than I would normally wear, with a 'glow' rather than a frost finish.  I sometimes worry it's too brown and muddy for my pale skin tone in certain lights but in other lights I really like it.  I think this would look amazing on anyone NW25 or above (I'm NW15 FYI)

It's very finely milled and applies evenly to the cheeks.

I tried to find some dupes in my existing stash but nothing is similar at all.  Sara from Color Me Loud tried to find some dupes from her stash as well but neither of us have anything really similar showing what a unique shade this is.

What do you think?  Have you succumbed to anything from the Chanel Holiday 2013 collection?
