Guest Post | Skincare Staples

Hi everyone! I'm Amy from A Little Boat Sailing and I'm here today to share with you some of my skincare staples!

There's no denying that I'm a huge make up enthusiast however before I even think about make up I always ensure that my skin is looked after properly. Make up will always look so much better on skin that is in a good condition compared to skin that is neglected. My skincare routine does vary on occasion however for the purpose of this post I have picked out four skincare staples that have served me so well in the past and continue to do so to this day.

It will come as no surprise that the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is one of my skincare staples. This cleanser sure has a cult following and in my opinion this is for a very good reason as it does what it says removing daily make up and grime and leaving the skin feeling clean, nourished and soft. This is a cleanser I have repurchased and do come back to, especially when my skin is having one of its moments.
A second repurchase of mine is from one of my favourite skincare brands La Roche-Posay. The Physiological Cleansing Gel is a cleanser that I like to use after I have pre-cleansed with a cream or balm cleanser. This is an extremely gentle cleanser that again leaves my skin feeling really soft and clean, it's also a great one for those that have sensitive skin that is also oily which I find is often a skincare target area that is missed out.
From LUSH I have discovered the wonder of the Tea Tree Water which has become a product that I have used each day without fail since I picked it up in June. This is a lovely refreshing toner that has antibacterial properties which helps to keep blemishes at bay. Personally I think this works really well for my combination to oily skin type whereby I can say that it has definitely helped to reduce the amount of blemishes I suffer from.
Once again La Roche-Posay are featured with one of their cult products; Effaclar Duo +. This I would say is a serum which can be used under your moisturiser of choice. I tend to use this in areas where I have trouble with breakouts as I find it really does help to keep them under control, reducing their longevity and helping to restore calmness to my skin. As an all over treatment I would refrain from using this as it could be a bit harsh however for areas on my forehead and chin I wouldn't turn to anything else.
What are your skincare staples?
Amy xx
