March empties

There was a decent amount of empties this month in my 'empties box'-here are my thoughts on the standouts and a few one liners on the rest.

Standout #1 Trish McEvoy 24hr Eye Shadow and Liner in Smokey Quartz

I have raved on and on about these I know but this eyeshadow crayon from Trish McEvoy is the best I have ever used.  Way better than By Terry, Laura Mercier and the like-these stay put all day without creasing or fading.  You can read my full mega rave on this formula here but suffice to say there is already a replacement winging its way to me from Selfridges.  Smokey Quartz is everything I wanted By Terry 'Misty Rock' to be and more-this is one of my all time favourites and has definite holy grail status.

Standout #2 Eucerin Aquaphor

I genuinely don't know how I stumbled on this intense balm but this saved and resurrected my lips after my surgery destroyed them last year.  My lips were a painful, chapped, cracked, bleeding mess and this thick balm is the only thing that sorted them out long term.  I am now never without a tube and carry one in my handbag, one on my dressing table and one on my bedside table.  Another holy grail.

Standout #3 MAC Omega eyeshadow

I have used every last bit of this eyeshadow pan-but on my eyebrows.  This is the perfect shade for me and every day I fill in my eyebrows with this and a MAC 208 angled brush.  It's slightly grey toned and on my pale (NW15/NARS Mont Blanc) skin I can also use it as a contour.  I've already repurchased.  I was going to use the Anastasia Dip Brow/Brow Wiz instead but I find them much harder to use, whereas I find this combo much easier and quicker.

Standout #4 The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

This is one of the cheapest, quickest and gentlest make up removers I have found.  I apply mine to dry skin and massage in, add water to emulsify and then remove with a damp flannel.  I think it's really important to remove with the flannel as it stops any residue sticking to the skin.  It's an absolute bargain and qudos to The Body Shop for not including mineral oil in the formula.

One liners on the rest:

Laura Mercier Creme Brulee range is to die for.  I have finished up the bath salts which didn't really do a whole lot but the body souffle and the Honey Bath is amazing.

Garnier Soothing 2 in 1 make up remover-best drugstore biphase remover.  Forever repurchasing.

Clarins Pure Melt cleansing gel-another great make up remover-this is my 3rd tube and using my 4th tube whilst travelling.  Must remove with a flannel.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night repair eye-solid gel/creme eye cream-better for 30+ girls.

Charlotte Tilbury First Love-technically not an empty as I dropped and smashed it to smithereens but I absolutely love it and you can read my full thoughts here

Shiseido Perfect Refining foundation-very liquidy foundation with good matte coverage-quite similar to the YSL Fusion Ink formula but I do prefer the YSL version.

Have you tried any of these products?
