It's taken me a while but my thoughts on Sex on Fire today represent that last review of the Charlotte Tilbury cheek to chic swish and pop (CTCSAP) blushers that I have in my stash.  I have all the feels for First Love even though I have dropped and smashed two and am now on my third.  Love Glow, Love Is The Drug and Ecstasy are all highly rated by me but First Love really is The One.

The first time I opened my Charlotte Tilbury CTCSAP (cheek to chic swish and pop) blush in Sex on Fire I thought 'Nars Douceur dupe'.  Given that NARS has just discontinued Douceur this comparison may have come as welcome news to those who love Douceurs' understated neutral tones.

I pulled a few similar blushers out of my stash and actually Sex on Fire isn't quite as brown toned as Douceur, but on me I find it more wearable than the NARS counterpart.  Sex on Fire is the mattest of all the CTCSAP blushers I own and has that lovely 'subtle but contoured' feel when you apply it.   The great thing about Sex on Fire is it pretty much works with any make up look-but especially with red lips.  It is pigmented but equally it is difficult to overdo-it also goes really well with a nice highlight as it's matte but not flat.  The powder itself has zero chalkiness and fuses onto the skin beautifully.

The slim disk rose gold packaging still ticks all the boxes for sleek and sophisticated luxury but I still can't help but think 'nipple' every time I open the pan.

You can't really go wrong with this blush and if you're happy to settle for something a little pinker than Douceur this may be a beautiful new replacement.
