So, bad beauty blogger than I am I actually gave Charlotte's Love Glow a pretty tepid review. The perils of writing a review right after you try a product for the first time. I said it was way too shimmery. What I didn't realise is that the blushes have a bit of an overlay on them meaning that the first couple of times you use them you get a more shimmery result than how the product actually is. Truth is, I now adore Love Glow.
Each blush in the range has 2 complimentary shades-the outer 'swish' colour to apply all over the cheekbone and the inner 'pop' colour to highlight the centre of the cheek. Application of this method is a little tricky given the layout of the blush, it's difficult to avoid picking up the centre colour when you're trying to 'swish' so in the end I just end up swirling my brush around the whole pan to pick up both colours.
Ecstasy has an outer ring of a deep warm coral orange and the centre is a pinker gold toned lighter coral shade. The result is the perfect coral with a satin, very slightly shimmery finish. Just like Love Glow the formula is very soft, silky and finely milled. Pigmentation is good but I felt the colour needed a bit of a top up after 4 hours-it was still visible just not as prominent.
I think this shade would be better paired with a nude lip and eyes-in the pictures above you can see am sporting a berry lip (was trying out Charlotte Tilburys 'Love Liberty') but I just don't think it worked. My skin is also the palest it has ever been so a nude lip balances the look much better.
I love this luminous, glowy blusher-peachy perky perfection!
