I think these are the first Burberry products I have ever reviewed on my blog which is weird considering I own 2 eyeshadow palettes, 3 single eyeshadows and at least 6 of their lipsticks.

So here is a combined review of the three single eyeshadows I own from the 'sheer' range although sheer seems an odd description for something that is actually relatively pigmented and quite frankly gorgeous!

Cutting to the chase, all three shadows are consistent in their application-smooth, satiny, good pigmentation, almost no fall out, blend effortlessly and last all day without creasing.

Midnight Brown is a medium dark brown, not too dark that it's too much to wear solo during the day.  It has a slight pearlescence to it and a very very slightly golden and purple-y undertone to it.  It's incredibly versatile-not only can it be built up for a more intense shade, it works as a base shadow for a smoky eye or a crease shadow for a more casual lighter look.

Pale Barley is Midnight Brown's cooler, lighter cousin.  One of the most wearable eyeshadows I own-it is a medium brown with a more golden sheen to it-lighter and brighter than Midnight Brown.  Seemingly pretty boring in the pan, I have seen loads of shades like this that lack any decent pigmentation or pay off-but Pale Barley lives up to the generous price tag.

Rosewood is my newest addition and one that caught my eye whilst having a swatchfest and trying to convince Vanessa she needed both Pale Barley and Midnight Brown on her recent trip to Dubai.  It's a really unusual colour for me-a cool light toned mauve with a hint of smoky lavender.  Again it has that pearlescence to it which stops it looking in anyway flat but without any obvious shimmer.

The Burberry cosmetic line packaging is just lovely-the eyeshadows come in a heavy gunmetal grey metal casing with the Burberry check etched into the lid.  The Burberry check print is also embossed onto the eyeshadow which is just beautiful.  They're undeniably expensive at £23 each but are all extremely wearable with an added luxe touch.
