Make up to inspire confidence

Today is my first day back at work following a 3 month absence.  It's fair to say I am petrified about my return and I have been trying to mentally prepare myself as much as possible.

One of the things I love about make up is the names of the products.  Nothing disappoints me more that a lipstick with a number for the name.  Really, how much effort goes into calling a lipstick '208'?

So I searched through my stash and pulled out my most confidence inspiring named products.

Blush

MAC Well Dressed is a firm favourite for an all over glow, it's very subtle and office appropriate.  A step up in pigment from that would be Tarte Fearless, a peachy pink with very subtle golden shimmer.  Or I could draw on NARS New Attitude for the longest lasting pink matte flush to the cheeks.  Illamasqua Ambition is the prettiest neutral although the golden shimmer may be a little too much for my straight laced office.

Nails

I want neutral nails so I'll call upon my favourite formula of the moment, Sephora Formula X.  A girly choice would be Unstoppable-a cool toned mid creamy pink.  Or I could plump for Standout, a light opaque nude.  I've been wearing this a lot recently and it's really chic.  Impeccable is on the browner side of nude with a rosy undertone and Brilliant, a creamy nude camel colour is totally office worthy.

Lips

Ahh the lips, so many choices!  I have narrowed it down to four-for a glossy, almost clear lip MAC Right Image is the way to go.  MAC Brave Red is the choice for a bold true red.

With visions of grandeur I could plump for OCC Lip Tar in Queen, it's a long lasting bright coral pink.  But for the ultimate office appropriate lip and confidence boost I am bound to plump for the beautiful nude which is Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect.
