This lipstick has given me nightmares. Every time I tried to photograph it the lighting was awful and the lipstick looked so dark and shadowy. After two days of trying indoors, I headed outside to get a shot in natural light which finally showed how utterly beautiful Love Liberty is.
This is my 3rd Matte Revolution lipstick-you can read all about Amazing Grace and Lost Cherry here. After trying and loving both I had to indulge in 'just one more' and pick up this glamorous and Autumn appropriate luminous berry shade.
Liberty Ross is the inspiration behind the shade and Charlotte wanted this lipstick to evoke wildly glamorous nights out a la Jerry Hall and Uma Thurman. The most wildy glamorous I get at the moment is a face mask and a glass of Baileys but I get the imagery.
The formula is consistent with the other two I own although Love Liberty has a more obvious velvet matte finish to it. But it's so hydrating and comfortable for a matte lipstick, I barely know I am wearing it.
It has both extracts from the Lipstick Tree (still want one) and Orchid to soothe and hydrate and give a soft cashmere finish. It has 'glowing 3D pigments' to give a 'lit from within' look to the lips, making them appear wider and fuller. And I really do like the finish-it is luminous whilst looking like velvet.
I'll end this post as I ended the last.
I definitely now need to add
My verdict? Excellence in a lipstick bullet. Smooth, opaque in one pass, hydrating and long lasting. Light and comfortable on the lips. Zero negatives. Zero. And as a true lipstick aficionado this is indeed the highest praise I can give.
