Guest Post | Latest Skincare Loves

Hi, I'm Suzy from Suzy Hearts Beauty and I'm honoured to be writing a guest post for Stacey. I love a good haul and I'm always jealous of Stacey's amazing purchases. That girl knows how to shop! I have so much respect for Stacey sharing her cervical cancer story and think she is super brave. Wishing you a speedy recovery Stacey :) I hope you enjoy my post!

I've been trying some new skincare bits lately and have found some really great ones so I thought it would be good to let you know about them.

The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel has been getting a lot of blogger love this year so I knew I had to try it. I'm well into my cleansing balms and butters as I find them the most hydrating for my dehydrated skin so when I found out this is not a foaming gel cleanser, but rather a balm, that was another tick in the box for me. Quite interestingly, this is a pink thick gel rather than your average, colourless or white product so it was a pleasant surprise when I first dispensed it! This has a balm texture that turns into an oil when massaged into the skin. It feels really luxurious and has a beautiful scent of camomile and rose. I use a damp muslin cloth or flannel to remove the cleanser and on contact with water, it turns into a beautiful light, milky texture. It's fab at cleansing the whole face, including the eye area, and it leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated.

Another product I've been loving that contains rose is the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask. When I took the lid off this, I couldn't help but think it looked like one of those cheap tubs of hair gel! It's a really lovely product though. It contains so many variations of rose stem cells and other extracts including rose hip seed and rose water so the aroma of this is gorgeous. I find the gel texture very soothing and cooling to apply to the skin and there are no uncomfortable sensations when the mask is doing its work. I let this sit on my skin for around 10-15 minutes then I remove it with a damp muslin cloth/flannel. My skin always feels so refreshed and a lot more moisturised after using this. You can use this as an intensive overnight treatment too but I haven't tried it that way yet.

For a long time, I'd been curious about the Indeed Labs skincare range, especially the Hydraluron range for boosting moisture in the skin. I decided to bite the bullet recently while it had a third off in Boots. I get a lot of scarring on my chin from hormonal breakouts so I decided to try the Pepta-Bright Even Skin Tone Enhancer to help with that issue. It's described as a moisturising cream-serum so I've been using it as the serum/oil step in my routine. It feels like a regular cream moisturiser in formula and I apply it to my whole face, avoiding the eye area. It sinks in really quickly so I can apply the next step of my skincare pretty much straight after. I've noticed the texture of my skin feels a lot smoother from using this and it has helped improve the clarity of my skin. I feel like the skin looks fresher and there is less redness around my nose and chin. It's not a miracle worker but I've definitely noticed improvements.
The second product from Indeed Labs is the newly released Hydraluron Moisture Jelly. This is the moisturiser step of your skincare routine but as the name suggests, it's a gel rather than a cream. I find this to be really light on the skin yet it provides a massive dose of hydration. My skin instantly feels better with this on! It doesn't leave your skin looking shiny and the smoothness and hydration lasts all day. I love the applicator on this product too. It's a pump that you squeeze from the top and bottom and a small amount of product pops out of the little hole in the top. No need to keep sticking your hands into the same pot like most moisturisers.

The final skincare product I've been loving is the Clarins UV Plus Sunscreen Multi-Protection SPF40. Being fair skinned, a high SPF is necessary to protect my skin but it's also a requirement when using the Pepta-Bright product above as I guess it is resurfacing the skin and continually exposing fresh skin to the harmful rays. I love this SPF as it's really light, sinks in quickly and doesn't leave a white cast or greasy finish on the skin. Perfect!

What skincare products have you been loving lately?
