I have a ton of love for this cleanser. Tons. And yet it sat untouched in my cleansers stash for almost a year before I broke it free and discovered its wonder.
The reason it sat unloved for so long was because of those two words on the packaging. Shea butter. I had a horrendous reaction to cocoa butter and since anything with the word butter on it that I intend to put on my face makes me shudder.
But I decided to give it a go and now I love it so much I have already bought a back up.
Here's the full ingredients list as Clarins doesn not list them on their website (so annoying)
I use this as my first 'make up removing' cleanse in the evening-up until I used this I was fixated on only the LRP Toleraine cleanser as it is so gentle. I was concerned about my skin reacting when I introduced more fragranced products back in but it hasn't at all.
You get 200ml for £25 which seems incredibly good value but I do admit to slathering this all over my face because it feels so nice! I cannot for the life of me remember when I bought this. This cleanser replaced the previous (and much loved it seems from the reviews on the Clarins website) Extra Comfort Cleansing Cream which I never tried before but have heard only good things.
The texture is a thick but viscous cream and I apply it to dry skin before rinsing and then removing with a damp flannel. My skin feels clean and hydrated after I use it and ready for the next cleanse. Moringa is purifying and detoxifying whilst shea and mango provide moisture. I haven't had any problems with breakouts, even around my chin/jawline.
I've always liked Clarins products and this is no exception. I wish I had tried it sooner.
