I first shared this post as a guest post on the lovely Latasha's blog. I have just finished up the tube of this mascara and I loved it so much I thought I would share the post here too.
Mascara aficionado's listen up. This mascara from Guerlain is immense.
It basically does everything-it fattens lashes, it lifts them. It's blacker than a coal mine and stays that way all day. It lengthens lashes and it gives a gorgeous fanned out effect. It doesn't clump, you can build it and build it without fear of it ever smudging or flaking. It's the best mascara I have used all year.
And it has not one but two brushes-the first brush is Benefit They're Real-esque but with teenier tiny stubby bristles on a plastic wand. It's really easy to get to the lash root and this wand gives an almost false lash fluttery effect. The formula is relatively wet but not so wet that when you blink you need to do a clean up operation under your eyes until it's dried. Once it is dry it seems to be completely waterproof.
The little brush is Clinique Bottom Lash-esque but a tad bigger. It's perfect for doing your bottom lashes and getting into any tiny stray lashes up top.
The packaging is golden and shiny and has some kind of ergonomical design I don't know the name for. It's very long and quite frankly I feel like I am holding a magic wand in my hand when I pick it up.
I know everyone raves about the Guerlain Maxilash waterproof mascara but don't dismiss this little beauty next time you're at the Guerlain counter!
