Since realising what a ridiculous amount of perfume I already own in this post here I decided to operate a very strict 'one out, one in' policy from now on. So I am not quite sure how this happened....
My one 'out' was the L'Eau de Issey Florale, a summer edition of the classic L'Eau D'Issey Miyake. Adore this perfume and I always seem to have at least one bottle from the Issey Miyake range in my collection. It's light and fresh and energising. My sense of smell has improved a lot since I started a new course of medication, making perfume a pleasure again.
My 'one in' was...erm wait...it's actually 'three in.'
I have a serious Jo Malone addiction! Peony and Blush Suede was actually a gift from my mum and dad when they came to Dubai so I can be forgiven for that one!
Peony and Blush Suede was the latest limited edition perfume from Jo Malone. The top notes are red apple, jasmine and peony with a base note of suede. What does suede smell like? I am not sure! I will probably save this for spring as it's quite floral and light-and yummy!
Wild Fig and Cassis was a Dubai Duty Free purchase on my last trip to Cairo. I wanted a perfume that screamed 'Autumn' and this was it. Top notes are cherry, blackcurrant and grass and base notes of amber and patchouli. Quite warm and comforting and similar to Dipthyque Philosykos.
Finally I picked up Giorgio Armani's latest offering-Si. Interestingly the creator of this fragrance is the same creator of the two Jo Malone fragrances. It has a very vanilla top note which I really like at this time of year-providing I don't go too over the top and pile it on because it can give me headaches.
It's strange because sometimes alongside the vanilla I smell tropical fruit-like passion fruit or maybe even pear. Then sometimes when I wear it I smell more chocolate-y or bourbon base notes. Anyway, I like it and thanks to Nicole from The Life of a Beauty Addict for the recommendation!
Must try harder on the 'one out one in' policy in future!
